We have one of the largest and most experienced dedicated teams of housing solicitors in the country. Our Housing litigation team works across England and Wales and covers:

- Injunctions – including anti-social behaviour injunctions (ASBIs), gaining access for gas safety inspections and to prevent harassment of staff or residents;

- Disrepair – both county court and magistrates' court claims;
- Stock Transfers – handling the transfer of pending and unfinished litigation;

- Shared Owner and Leaseholder Disputes and Breaches of Lease - in both the courts and the leasehold valuation tribunal;
- Judicial Review – defending and bringing challenges to decisions of public bodies;
- Appeals – we have extensive experience of defending appeals in the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords.
The Housing litigation services we provide include:
- Clear and Concise Advice - we will advise you on the merits of a potential claim, the best course of action, the likelihood of success and highlight any likely defences/challenges, and explain everything in straightforward terms;
- Preparing Notices, Court Papers and Witness Statements - we can prepare or check any notices, court papers and witness statements on your behalf;
- Handling the Court Process - once proceedings have been issued we run matters through to settlement or trial. This includes complying with any directions, and liaising with the tenant’s representatives;
- Advocacy at Hearings - we regularly attend hearings undertaking advocacy. In some circumstances, mainly for trials or committals, we will instruct a barrister. We have strong working relationships with specialist housing barristers across the country and brief them fully prior to hearings;
