Birmingham law firm Anthony Collins Solicitors, already amongst the largest in the Midlands with an exceptional pedigree in the family and private client sectors, has appointed Elisabeth Howe, a specialist matrimonial lawyer. Lis, who joins the firm as a Senior Associate, has extensive experience in all aspects of financial and property claims for adults and children affected by relationship breakdown, whether as a consequence of divorce, co-habitation and civil partners separating. She has dealt with an extensive variety of maintenance capital and property claims in high net value cases involving complicated business and pension issues and her lengthy experience enables her to advise and recommend where necessary the appropriate use of counsel, accountancy and pension experts. Lis also advises on preventative measures by drafting ‘living together’ agreements, pre and post nuptial contracts as well as separation deeds for co-habitants. An accredited member of Resolution and a Law Society Family Law Panel member, she qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and has specialised in family law ever since. Lis commented, “I am delighted to join a firm where strong relationships lie at the heart of what it seeks to achieve in the various communities in which it operates. I am delighted to join a firm where this is such a distinctive part of its culture.” Elizabeth Wyatt, who heads the firm’s Family work concluded, “Lis brings undoubted skills and experience. Her appointment to our senior management team is another key step forward in our development strategy. These are extremely exciting if not challenging times and we’re looking forward to harnessing her proven talents and embracing new opportunities.”
