Buying things is a universal activity and the vast bulk of transactions made every day are for the supplies of goods. The NEC launched its new Supply Contracts for the buying goods and materials on 11th February 2010, and Anthony Collins is pleased to have been part of the authoring team.
The two contracts, the NEC3 Supply Contract and the NEC3 Supply Short Contract, are the latest contracts within the NEC3 family of contracts, to be used alongside the Engineering and Construction Contract, Term Services Contract and Professional Services Contract used by many of our clients.
The Supply Contract is provided for major, high value procurements; the Supply Short Contract is intended for straightforward low risk supplies not requiring sophisticated management techniques.
As with all NEC contracts, they are published with guidance notes and flowcharts, and Ross Hayes of ACS was the author of the flowcharts.
